We find that the majority of fraudulent goods and illegal waste disposal products originate from overseas. This is when the importer tries to bring the goods into the UK, and they are confiscated. These goods are made or sold illegally without the brand’s owners' authorisation, and they violate trademark legislation. Once confiscated, these goods are under the government’s ownership and not the original owners.

Confiscated goods are objects that have been seized because they do not have the necessary paperwork, are out of date or rotten meat and food, are deemed to be a dangerous or illegal trade, or are prohibited from being imported into the EEC. Customs confiscate these goods at borders and can lead to fines such as a Civil Customs Penalty.

Secure Waste Disposal Site & Vetted Staff

To ensure the security of our illegal waste disposal sites, they are manned 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Heavy-duty barriers, gated entrances and perimeter fencing provide additional security to our sites.

We fully vet all staff. They are subject to disclosure and regular driving licence checks, and enhanced DBS checks where required. We also ask them to sign a confidentiality agreement as a condition of their employment.

Our secure destruction of counterfeit goods service includes a fully operational 24-hour Ultra HD CCTV system that closely monitors the site. We can offer our clients a permanent record of the disposal of their files if required. To provide further assurance and documented evidence we issue a Certificate of Destruction.
